Kludde rocked an urban trail which started in front of a busy shop, passed angry dogs and some sort of industrial chemical odor, and ended with a victim discrimination. 

Kludde has fun in Appomattox

Once again Kludde and I enjoyed SAR camp in Appomattox. Kludde ran urban trails, high finds, and wilderness work -- all split trails with additional subject discrimination  which has been a challenge in the past.

Daughter gets same award as daddy

Huge congratulations to Michelle and all of her training support team. Abra receives FR3 Eastern Region Vice Champion.

Fun trial hosted by Tri-State DOC and judged by Gale Meadows. Enjoyed the Poconos trails before and after trialing. 

 

 

Mantrailing fun with training buddies

 Huge thank you to Jonathan who regularly hides for me. Kludde overshot the last turn then took me the most direct way... through thorns. Next time I will be more clever but no harm was done to trail layer, the dog, or me and I learned a lesson so it was all good. Nice to be out in a cool day training dogs.

Congratulations! Not sure how many father and daughter pairs have earned the highest NARA level but Michelle's awesome training made it happen.

The space, a ski lodge, was neat. Kludde had fun finding people.

Different tracking title

Kludde and I entered and aced a United Blood Trackers level 1 track. https://www.unitedbloodtrackers.org/

The tracks were laid in deer rich environments. Some just blood and some with shoes.

It was a fun weekend with lectures about scent and understanding the type of wound based on the fur length, odor of blood, viscosity of fat, and any marrow, bone, or muscle tissue present. And alot of war stories!

My good internet friend Amber Higgins (https://www.familydisasterdogs.com/) has a super program to help dogs be useful to their family. She certified Kludde for his alerting work, like to the smoke detector, around the house.

who raises funds to care for retired Military Working Dogs, Contract Working Dogs and Retire K9's. A good cause and the one tipped ear on their logo made Kludde feel good. 

Away from four days of "wintery mix" in Sarasota for Kludde's nosework trial

The judge didn't care for his nose on qtip for the containers but other elements did well.

Super Kludde is now excellent

Finished the CDX with a 196 1/2, taking second off a very nice working standard poodle. Thankful for the Canine Carolina Performance and Pet for hosting the trial.

Higher score although a bit more distracted. Thankful for the host club, TNT canine, judge Marguerite Plank and great stewards.

The heeling ranged from beautiful to distracted but we both did decent and I enjoyed catching up with old obedience friends.
